Visiting Universal Studios During COVID-19
There have been a lot of changes in the recent months, as various places reopen. Universal Studios has new rules that need to be followed. The following blog outlines some of these new protocols that are required when you visit. At Orlando Airport Transportation, we want to make sure we have all the correct information and that our guests are aware of these new protocols before they visit.
Universal Studios COVID-19 Protocols
In accordance with the CDC guidelines Universal Studios has enhanced their sanitation and have implemented additional resources for social distancing and screening.
Guests visiting, as well as Team Members, must comply with the following protocols.
1. Face coverings
- Everyone is required to wear a face covering during their visit
2. Washing Hands Often.
- You will be asked to wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 minutes and as often as possible.
3. Floor Markings
- You are required to stand on the floor marking until the group ahead of you has moved forward.
4. Hand Sanitizer
- There are locations prior to boarding rides, you will be required to use hand sanitizer before boarding any ride.
5. Follow Team Members Direction
- You will be asked to follow directions from Team Members and to have patience, they are working hard and to do their best with these new operational procedures.
6. Avoid Contact with People Who Are Sick
7. Social Distancing
- While in the park, you will be asked to social distance and to keep as least 6 feet (2 meters) between your group and others.
8. Temperature Checks
- Temperature checks are required when you arrive, guests with a temperature of 100.4 degrees or greater will not be admitted.
There are other measures such a limited capacity and social distancing guidelines throughout all the attractions, restaurants and shops. There is increased cleaning and disinfecting procedures, and frequent cleaning. All Team Members undergo temperature checks and wear masks and they all participate in extensive training of all these new procedures.
Official Universal Resort App
In order to receive the latest updates you can download the App and go contact free. There are updates for all things Universal and you can download the Official Universal Resort App. This way you are easily connected when you’re in the park, there is also WIFI throughout the park and Universal Citywalk. You’re also able to order food and drinks through the app at set locations. You can also use the app for the virtual Line Experience and you can pre-select your ride time at more attractions.

Returning To Disney World Resorts
It may have been a while since some of you've been to Disney World, and due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic there have been some safety measures put in place.
This is still the most magical place full of exciting experiences and the safety and health of Disney guests are the most important. This blog will review some of these health and safety measure to ensure that you have a wonderful and memorable time.
There are some updates that have been made based on guidelines from health authorities such as the CDC and appropriate government agencies. Disney knows that by working together we can all find ways to still have those magical moments.
Disney has enhanced health and safety measures for guests and Cast Members, and you must follow all posted instructions while visiting Disney World Resorts.
All four Walt Disney World theme parks are open, however, Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon remain closed. Disney plans to reopen one of the water parks by March 7th 2021. Please be aware that this reopening date is subject to change.
What You Will Need
When entering Disney World theme parks you'll need
- A theme park reservation
- Face coverings for each guest, age 2 and up
- The My Disney Experience app is highly recommended
- A cashless form of payment is highly recommended
Making A Park Reservation
All guests must make a reservation, park attendance is managed through the Disney Park Pass System. Which each guest must use to make their theme park reservation.
To enter the park a reservation and a valid admission for the same date are required for each person, there is also a limit of one park per day. Guests are only able to select one park per day, visiting more than one park is temporarily unavailable.
Arriving At Disney World Orlando
Temporary screening is in place to insure the health and safety of all guests entering the park.
- Guests will undergo a temperature screening prior to park entry
- Anyone with a temperature of 100.4F or more will be directed to another location for re-screening
The security screening process has been modified to reduce contact between Cast Members and guests. It's now recommended that you use clear bags (when possible) and to pack light, by limiting the number of personal items.
Attractions And Entertainment
Because of social distancing some experiences have been temporarily paused including; parades and night time spectaculars, character greetings and playgrounds.
Characters are still in the park to entertain and you can experience many of your favorite attractions and dozens of other entertainment offerings.
Physical Distancing Measures
Physical distancing has been put in place in selected places where it's difficult to maintain strict distancing measures. Signage has been installed to assist all guests to move responsibly throughout the park.
Cashless transactions are recommended to all guests as a form of payment and mobile orders are also recommended. Guests can download the My Disney Experience app.

The Lion King
For decades The Lion King has brought so much joy to so many with it's exciting and also heart warming story. At the Animal Kingdom you can meet your favorite characters and even go on a safari ride. Check out the Conservation Station and learn about animal habitats around the world. There's so much to learn about all the animals and experts will guide the way.
Next visit the Kilimanjaro Safari and venture into the wild. You'll take off on a guided tour in an open air vehicle and watch the animals roam free. This tour lasts about 18 minutes and is also offered after hours.
Finally it's time to visit Festival of The Lion King. This will be an experience that you will remember for many years to come. This is truly a musical extravaganza. Celebrating the classic movie through live music, puppetry and pagaentry. The proformance lasts 30 minutes and will be unforgettable, we are sure of it. Another area of the park we thought you would love it Pandora, it's time to jump into a new world.
Pandora "Visit A World Beyond Belief"
Have you ever wanted to fly through Pandora? Now you can and what a ride it's going to be. Avatar Flight of Passage allows you to sore through the this other world. And experience a very unique and breathtaking 3D adventure. The ride is safe for kids, tweens, teens and adults.
Another ride that looks truly incredible is the Na'vi River Journey. Talk about a unique experience, here you'll see otherworldly creatures that live in this bioluminescent rainforest. it's important to mention that this is a family friendly ride, so the whole family can enjoy the adventure together.

When you visit Walt Disney World Orlando you'll realize that there are a lot of theme parks you can visit. All of them unique and offering a special and unforgettable experience.
