Disney Cruise Ships Welcome Guests
We’ve talked about cruises a lot here, and we just can’t help to get excited every time. This is because the industry has really had a hard time during the pandemic. Being fully shut down for so long, it’s a beautiful thing to see it coming back to life.
It’s been a total of 16 months and finally the Disney Dream is ready to set sail out of Port Canaveral. This will be the first time that the ship will have guests and not just employees onboard. This is because there had to be tests done to ensure the safety of guests and employees in regards to the ongoing pandemic. The CDC has said that its rules will help to prevent COVID-19 out breaks on ships that have close quarters and frequent stops in foreign locations.
Welcome Back to The Disney Dream
When will ships be setting sail? That’s a great questions and the date has been set for August 9th. In a recent Instagram video Disney Signature Experiences President Thomas Mazloum said that “we're ready to welcome you aboard and set sail once again.” This will be the first time that paying guests will be on Disney Dream since the pandemic took hold and halted the industry.
Cruises will be three and four nights and will set sail from Port Canaveral. They will be visiting Disney’s private island Castaway Cay, located in the Bahamas. In a special advisory to guests, Disney stated that ,”we are resuming sailing in a gradual, phased approach that emphasizes multiple layers of health and safety measures, developed in consideration of guidance from the U.S. Centers of Disease Control and Prevention and other medical experts.” Which brings us to what you will need to expect when it comes to the ongoing pandemic and Disney’s travel regulations.
Safety Measures on Disney Dream
The pandemic is ongoing and it’s clear that it’s not going to be over anytime soon. However, with that being said we also need to still be able to travel and to feel safe. Disney has made sure to follow all CDC guidelines ensuring the health and safety of guests and staff. Vaccines are being strongly encouraged but are not mandatory and not required in order to be a guest on any Disney Cruise Line. When it comes to other cruise lines, we advise that you check and make sure if it’s a requirement.
Guests who choose to show their proof of vaccine will be able to skip being tested before their trip from Florida. However, guests that who don’t show their proof of vaccine will be required to take a COVID-19 test before leaving home and also at their cruise ship port. Face masks will be required in all public spaces while onboard and hand sanitizers will be provided throughout the ship. Finally when it comes to social distancing, Disney Cruise Lines will be limiting ships capacity to ensure this can be met. Cleaning will also be done twice a day in all staterooms and air purification systems have been installed.
At Orlando Airport Transportation we also take the safety of our clients very seriously and you’ll be happy to know that all our drivers are vaccinated and those who are not will wear masks. While we don’t place those requirements on our clients, however we want them to know they are in good hands while travelling with us.

Orlando Attractions Orlando Airport
We Are Open!
It's been a difficult year for many people around the world during this unprecedented time in our history. The COVID-19 pandemic has caused a lot of interruptions to travel and to our day-to-day lives. But we are so happy to announce that our service is ready to bring you safely to your hotel, resort, theme park and cruise port!
Cruises are Getting Ready
Florida is the U.S.A.'s cruise capital and has three of the worlds busiest ports, Miami, Port Canaveral and Port Everglades. Usually Florida will see millions of passengers every year who are heading out on the adventure of a lifetime. This is a major part of our economy and generates billions each year.
There have been many set backs during 2020 and into 2021, but now cruise lines are preparing to welcome back passengers. At Orlando Airport Transportation we are also welcoming back our cruise line customers and are ready to deliver you to your cruise port in the safety of our private cars.
Orlando Airport Transportation
We are taking your health and safety very seriously here at Orlando Airport Transportation. We provide you with the comfort in knowing that you are in a private vehicle that is clean and well maintained. Our customers also have the comfort in knowing that we offer affordable vehicles that will pick them up from the airport and deliver them to their hotel, resort, cruise port and theme park.
Booking You Cruise and Airport Transportation
When you book your cruise you should make sure to check what the regulations are with that particular cruise line. We recommend this to our customers at this time because the COVID-19 protocols can vary depending on the cruise line. For example, Celebrity and Princess will require all guests to be vaccinated and to show proof of vaccination with the proper documents. Each cruise line has slightly different rules for their guests and we wouldn't want one of our customers to arrive unprepared.
Making a Reservation with Orlando Airport Transportation
For all your transportation needs to and from the airport, resort, cruise port or theme park, please make sure you book your comfortable and luxurious transportation with us today. If you have any questions about our COVID-19 measures and want to learn more, please feel free to contact us. We are looking forward to delivering you safely to your dream vacation soon!
